Stop Press: Court convicts Nnamdi Kanu of terrorism offences

A federal high court in Abuja today ruled that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a terrorist and should be treated as such.

The court convicted the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra of three of the seven charges filled against by the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Justice James Omotosho said overwhelming evidence, including video interviews in which Kanu made violent threats against Nigeria and its citizens as the ground of conviction.

The Pond News understands that earlier today the judge asked security operatives to remove Kanu from the court because of his unruly behaviour.

At the time of writing this report, the judge was yet to pronounce the punishment.
