The vice presidential candidate of the PDP, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa yesterday promised Nigerian women that they would be active participants in a PDP led government in Abuja.
Okowa gave the promise at the meeting with Ohaneze Indigbo Women Worldwide in Asaba.
He said that Nigerian women are critical stakeholders and would be accorded their due respect.
He reminded the women and indeed all Nigerians the importance of Saturday elections and the need to prioritize peace, unity, and progress over divisive rhetoric.
Okowa shared these sentiments today via his verified Twitter account.
The vice presidential hopeful promised Nigerians on the devolution of powers and economic restructuring
He appreciated the women for their endorsement of the Atiku Okowa presidential ticket.
Okowa tweeted thus:”Having always believed in the constant and active participation of women in political and governance processes, yesterday, I had the honour of meeting and interacting with leaders and stakeholders from Ohaneze Indigbo Women Worldwide.
At the meeting, we discussed the future of our nation and the choices before us. With only four days left until #NigeriaDecides, it is crucial that we prioritize peace, unity and progess over divisive rhetoric.
Above all, let us vote for @OfficialPDPNig, the only party that had made the devolution of powers and restructuring of the nation one of its key priorities.
I thank Ohaneze Indigbo Women Worldwide for their enthusiastic and unequivocal endorsement of the #AtikuOkowa ticket!
