Women shall be given priority in terms of empowerment and key appointments in a Labour Party led federal government.
This was the pledge made today in Abuja at Voice of Women Conference by Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate.
The presidential hopeful said that if you want a job done, give it to woman.
These were sentiments of Obi via his verified Twitter account.
He appealed to the women to judge the presidential candidate on what they have done, adding that as a state governor, 40 per cent of his cabinet were women.
He also said that the award given to him would be agenda towards having an inclusive and accountable Nigeria next year.
Obi tweeted :’When you need work done and done satisfactory, get a woman to do it and you will not be disappointed.
They must vote for candidates they can trust on the scales of capacity, competence, character and proven commitment to the yearnings of Nigerian women. Do not accept us based on what will tell you we will do: have we proven it before now?’
