PDP members in Delta State have been urged to work for the victory of the party at the national and state level because one of their own is the vice presidential candidate .
The governor of Delta State,Senator Ifeanyi Okowa made this plea today at the inauguration of the PDP campaign council in Asaba.
The PDP vice presidential candidate argued that Deltans should close ranks because a vice president was capable of coming from Delta State.
He therefore called on all political appointees to go to their wards and units of their local government areas and work for the victory of the party.
He appreciated the women and youths for working for the party, adding that PDP does not believe in telling lies like the APC.
In his own address, the PDP Governorship candidate and the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori described the Senate as rubber stamp that responsible for the free fall of the Naira and the external debt of forty billion dollars.
The governorship questioned the rationale of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege angling to be governor of Delta State.
Said Oborevweri :I wish to remind Deltans that all well meaning Nigerians agree that the current Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria of which Omo-Agege is the deputy president, is the worst in the history of Nigeria. Courtesy of this toothless, docile, and rubber stamp Senate, Nigera’s external debt portfolio currently stands at $40b as at the second quarter of this year’.
