The senator elect for Delta South senatorial district , Hon Joel Onowakpo Thomas has urged people of Delta south to vote for Senator Ovie Omo Agege as the next governor, adding that electing a PDP governor was turning the clock of progress backwards.
He explained that his election was a progressive step and that Ijaws, Itsekiri and Isoko could not afford to be in the opposition.
The senator elect made the passionate appeal in a statement issued today in Warri.
He urged his people that as Deltans ,they have a responsibility to make Delta State and reposition it as an investment destination.
He lambasted the twenty four years rule of PDP as wasted years and that it would amount to a dream to expect any change in the next four years.
Onowakpo argued thus :”The only path to greatness that is available for us right now is to elect Senator Ovie Omo Agege of the APC and I can guarantee you progress like we have not witnessed before in Delta State. Therefore, come out en masse and vote for APC all through, on Saturday, 11th March, 2023. After doing this, you can leave the rest for us and again, I assure you that we will not disappoint you.”
The senator elect also canvassed that a vote for APC, was a vote for transformation, progess, development, transparency and accountability.
He stated that APC government led by Omo Agege shall work for all Deltans irrespective of tribe, language, religious or political party affiliations.
He also made a case for the election of APC state legislators so that they can work in harmony with APC state governor.
Onowakpo once more appreciated the people of Delta south senatorial district for electing him as their senator.
Listen to the senator elect :”Before I begin, may I once again appreciate and thank you for giving me your mandate as your senator elect in the soon to be inaugurated 10th National Assembly. Let me reaffirm and reiterate that I shall not disappoint you or betray the confidence you have reposed in me. The betterment of our senatorial district shall always be my guiding principle.”
