The Atiku-Okowa presidency shall put measures in place to end strikes in the educational sector especially at the university level.
Such a government shall make deliberate efforts to reform the education sector.
The vice presidential candidate of the PDP, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa made these submission today via his verified Twitter account.
Okowa regretted that the frequent strikes were affecting students and their families and slowing down the nation development.
Okowa who is also the governor of Delta State promised that the Atiku-Okowa presidency shall make deliberate efforts to reform the educational sector.
He also promised that all stakeholders shall be involved in the reform process to ensure better standards.
Okowa tweeted :’Our young people are the primary focus of our educational system, therefore,we must end these frequent strikes. It is not only affecting the lives of our students and their families, it significantly slows down the development of our nation.
From Day 1, the Atiku-Okowa administration will be deliberate about reforming our education sector. We will involve all stakeholders to embark on an urgent assessment and reform of the sector to ensure better standards and efficient administrative methods.’
