The Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, has charged Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) members in the state to put away their anger and bitterness and work as one family to ensure victory for the party in the forthcoming general elections.

Ukah, who spoke during the PDP Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency stakeholders meeting held at Ibusa, advised that members should not look at the pains of today but look forward to the sweetness of the future when the party emerges victorious in the polls.

The SSG told them that they can improve on what they have now, adding that what they do not have now can be gotten tomorrow.

Ukah encouraged them to work as a team from the unit level and join the moving train of victory that is already gathering steam towards 2023.

In his address, the state PDP Chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso, said that the essence of the meeting was to kick start the process leading to the campaigns which will begin soon.
He urged leaders of the party in the four local government areas that make up the federal constituency to see themselves as one family and work together to make victory easier for the party.

Esiso noted that since the forthcoming general elections will be different from other elections, the party is going to concentrate more on unit campaigns advising them to go to their units and convince the electorates why they should vote for the PDP.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of the party in Delta North, Chief Moses Iduh, other members of the executive council of the party in the state, members of the State House of Assembly from the area, members of the state executive council from the constituency, party candidates from the area, and other party bigwigs.

Meanwhile, the SSG led a delegation of party leaders to pay a condolence visit to Mrs. Rose Ndudi Ofuonyeadi and family in Ibusa over the demise of her husband, Hon. Uche Ofuonyeadi.
