The secretary to Delta State Government and chairman, local organising committee of Delta 2022 ,Chief Patrick Ukah has described the unveiling of the games logo and mascot as beginning of advertising the games.
Ukah made this assertion in Government House, Asaba within the week.
The SSG said the mascot and logo were important symbols of identity for the games and elements of communication of what the games stand for.
He explained that the theme of the National Sports Festival, ‘uniting Nigeria and inspiring the next generation’ was very apt, adding that it also means unity, strength and confidence in the nation by the youths.
He therefore called on the sports men and women who would participate in the November games to be so guided and inspired for greater heights.
Ukah also commended the state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his moral and financial support in upgrading new sporting facilities for the festival.
