The president elect Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu pledged to serve all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion or political beliefs.
Tinubu made the pledge today shortly after INEC declarating him as the winner of last Saturday presidential election.
He called on his challengers Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party to join him in his mission to govern the nation.
He promised to be president of all Nigerians.
Said President elect Tinubu :’Let us collaborate and work together. I promise to work with you.’
Tinubu won the election by getting 8,805,420 votes to beat Atiku Abubakar who got 6,984,290 votes.
INEC chairman Prof Mahmoud Yakubu in the early hours of today declared Tinubu as the president elect.
The ceremony was witnessed by the vice president elect Senator Kashim Shettima, the national chairman of APC Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu and some APC state governors.
Among the early callers at Tinubu residence in Abuja was Dr Goodluck Jonathan, the former vice president.
Tinubu winning the presidency is a considerable boost to the political fortunes of Senator Ovie Omo Agege, the APC governorship candidate in Delta State.
It would be recalled that in the National Assembly election, APC won two Senatorial seats.
They are Chief Joel Onowakpo Thomas for Delta South senatorial district and Chief Ede Dafienone for Delta Central Senatorial district.
