Indications have emerged that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate may be declared the winner of February 25 presidential election by INEC today.
The APC standard bearer is leading in results officially released by INEC .
Tinubu scored total votes of 8,805,420 votes to beat Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP to second position.
The winning streak of the next president elect has national spread compared to that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi.
Although Tinubu lost his stronghold Lagos to Obi, he won in Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun in the south west.
Tinubu also won in Kwara, Jigawa, Zamfara, Borno, Benue, Niger and Rivers State.
The presidential candidate of the PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar got 6,984, 290 votes.
Atiku won in Kaduna, Sokoto, Adamawa, Osun, Gombe, Yobe, Katsina, Taraba, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and two other states.
Mr Peter Obi got 6,093, 962 with majority in twelve states mostly in the South South and South East.
Obi captured majority of votes in Cross River, Nasarawa, Enugu, Lagos, Imo, Delta, Federal Capital territory, Edo, Ebonyi, Anambra and others.
The Pond News understands that Obi is popular among the youths in the South South and South East and that explains his inability to clinch the presidential election.
