Members of the public have been warned not to listen to fradusters using the office of the Delta State secretary to government or name of Chief Patrick Ukah to solicit for funds.
A statement personally signed by Ukah said at no time did he authorize person or people to solicit for funds for him or the office of the secretary to the state government.
The statement added that the imposters are using the phone number ,07059268312 to solicit for funds with intent to defraud.
The statement advised members of public to report such requests to the police.
This disclaimer, according to the statement, is to serve as warning to the public to beware of the activities of the criminals.
The statement further said that the security operatives have been informed of the activities of these criminal elements and working round the clock to fish them out.
