The secretary to Delta State Government ,Chief Patrick Ukah tasked religious leaders to continue to pray for peace and development in the state.
Ukah gave the charge in Okpanam, Oshimili North LGA during an interactive session with church leaders at Edmond Hotel and Suites, Okpanam.
Ukah also commended the religious leaders for supporting the Okowa administration since 2015.
The SSG observed that the prayers and support of the religious leaders had sustained the administration and kept it focused.
He also stated that the prayers of the religious leaders made the government to deliver dividends of democracy to all Deltans.
Ukah concurred that the support of the religious leaders in Okpanam attracted massive development to the community.
He charged them to sensitize their members to shun violence and participate in Saturday presidential and national assembly elections.
Ukah canvassed that the PDP has done a lot in the state and that there was the need for the religious leaders and followers to identify with the political party.
Responding, the religious leaders lauded the Okowa administration for the developmental stride, roads and drainages across the state and other people oriented projects.
The men of God assured the secretary to state government that they would continue to offer prayers and support for the administration.
