The President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu today travelled to France barely twenty two days after his sweating in .
The president in his official Twitter account said the tour was to enable him take part in the Global Financing Pact Summit.
Tinubu tweeted about two hours ago :”My team and I arrived in Paris, France where we’ll be taking part in the Global Financing Pact Summit convened by President Emmanuel Macron’.
Many Nigerians on Twitter welcomed the president foreign tour with a few being sceptical.
A Twitter account with the name Sir Kuli Kuli thanked the president for reviving the glory and comparing him to Nelson Mandela.
Sir Kuli Kuli tweeted thus :Dear our President, thank you for reviving the glory of Nigeria. You’re gradually becoming the Lee Kwan Yeu of Nigeria and the next Mandela of our recent time. Thank you for coming at the righteous time we needed you most. You’re successfully broke the jinx we’re waiting.’
One Twitter account simply wished the president well in his meeting with his doctors in Paris.
Another Twitter account doubted the purpose of the visit.
The Twitter account holder French said thus :”A congress was held yesterday and this wasn’t mentioned which means ambassadors are not aware of this Summit. Is it a closed room summit ‘
Many patriotic Nigerians are worried by the frequent foreign travels of Tinubu as either President elect or President.
The Pond News understands that there are many controversies surrounding Tinubu junketing and his media handlers are less than sincere in giving Nigerians correct information.
