A new level of political impunity in Nigeria became a reality with the daughter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed the pro chancellor of a university.
Mrs Mujidat Folasade Tinubu Ojo was appointed the pro chancellor and chairman of Havilla University in Nde Ikom, Cross Rivers State.
Mrs Tinubu Ojo disclosed this information yesterday via her verified X handle.
A statement from the University reads :I hereby present to you, the Pro Chancellor and the chairman, Governing council of Havilla University, Nde Ikom, Cross Rivers State, Nigeria.’
The Pond News understands that position of pro chancellor of a university is meant for a prominent traditional ruler or Nigerian of high repute.
The appointment of President daughter is the bastardization of the Nigerian educational system, of which Tinubu has acquired unique but dubious distinction.
