The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has budgeted the sum of N508.7 million to feed members of the presidency yearly.
This is part of the N20.51 trillion budget estimate presented to the National Assembly on Friday.
In the budget estimate, President Muhammadu Buhari shall use N331.79 million to feed his family while the vice president,Prof Yemi Osinbajo shall use N176.92 million to feed his family.
The budget also provides for N40.45 million new presidential kitchen.
The Pond news understands that the provision for the presidency feeding is outrageous for a nation whose national minimum wage stands at thirty thousand naira ,a month.
It is also reality that many Nigerians are finding it difficult to feed and public universities doors closed for eight months running because of the trade dispute between the federal government and ASUU.
