The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter visited the former president of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan recently.
Obi disclosed this today via his verified Twitter account.
He said the visit was for him to exchange views on array of serious national interest questions.
The presidential candidate was, however ,silent on the venue of the meeting.
The meeting attracted mixed reactions from Nigerians on Twitter.
Reacting, a Twitter user Doctor Penking said the meeting was in order.
Doctor Penking tweeted;’Peter Obi is currently leading at the presidential polls conducted by Atedo Peterside. P O will lead at the presidential polls to be conducted by INEC in 2023 irrespective of their gimmicks.’
However, Daniel Regba said it was wrong for Peter Obi to meet those who caused Nigeria’s problems.
Daniel Regba tweeted:’P O It is ironic how you claim to be fighting for a new Nigeria but at the same time always mingle with members of the opposition parties, especially those who contributed to Nigeria’s present unfortunate situation. This speaks volumes on how your words don’t match your actions’.
