Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned supporters of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu on the dangers of spreading fake news about endorsement.
Obasanjo said at no time did he endorse the candidature of Tinubu during the recent visit to him.
In a statement issued today by special assistant on media to the former president, Kehinde Akinyemi, Obasanjo cautioned Tinubu supporters of the danger.of spreading fake news, adding that such people are harming the electoral fortunes of Tinubu.
Said Obasanjo:’Those claiming to be insiders at the meeting issuing statement on the discussion and those crediting to me statement I had not made are enemies of the visitor and are not doing the visit any good’.
The Pond news understands that some presidential candidates are trying to use the name of Obasanjo to get political credibility.
