SIDE KICK. Aniagwu, the unannounced Information Commissioner
Strong indications have emerged in media and political circles that Mr Charles Aniagwu, the current Works Commissioner (Rural Roads) is playing the role of Information Commissioner, The Pond News learnt on good authority.
Today Aniagwu would appear on African Independent Television to speak on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori hundred days in office.
In a statement issued today by Nelson Egware, SSA, Media to the Governor advised Deltans and residents to tune in.

‘PROGRAMME PROMO: Aniagwu speaks on AIT
Delta State Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), Mr. Charles Aniagwu will be a guest on AIT “Kakaaki” on DSTV Channel 253 today, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 8:10am.
He will be speaking on the 100 days in office of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other sundry issues.
Deltans and residents are enjoined to tune-in please.

It could also be recalled that during recent government officials visits to Okpanam erosion sites in Oshimili North LGA, Aniagwu spoke on the erosion menace and veered into other areas of governance.
The Pond News understands that during pre inspection tour of government projects headed by secretary to state government Dr Kingsley Emu, Aniagwu was very much visible conducting media activities with the chief press secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.
The Pond News recalled that during the maiden exco briefing, Aniagwu was billed to address the press until reporters protested.
It was the protest that led to the fence mending meeting with journalists of the Indigenous chapel Correspondents and Asaba Correspondents Chapel.
A source in Government House confided in The Pond News that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori shall announce the posting of Aniagwu to the Information Ministry in the nearest future.
