The chances of Hon Thomas Joel Onowakpo becoming a senator for Delta South Senatorial district are becoming brighter every day.
Prominent Deltans are supporting him after the endorsement of Chief James Ibori.
One of such Deltans routing for Joel Onowakpo is Rear Admiral John Kpokpogri
Kpokpogri, a PDP chieftain said the senatorial bid of Onowakpo was beyond party lines but based on equity, justice and fairness.
The retired top naval brass said that all people of Delta South senatorial district should come together as one and vote for Onowakpo.
He made these remarks when Onowakpo paid a consultative visit to Kpokpogri in Warri, Warri South LGA of Delta State.
He made a strong case for an Isoko man to be a senator after the twenty years of Senator James Manager (Ijaw) and eight years of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan (Itsekiri).
He argued that the APC senatorial candidate was an Isoko project with the support of the Ijaw and Itsekiri.
He promised to commit all his resources towards Onowakpo victory.
Said Kpokpogri:’This is an Isoko project. I will do all my best to make this dream a reality. It will be ethically wrong to abandon my most qualified son for another.’
Earlier, the APC senatorial candidate told Kpokpogri that he came to him for fatherly blessings and prayers, urging him to use his political contact to support his candidature.
