The death of ten cooks has stopped the school children feeding programme in Anambra state.
The state coordinator of the Home Grown Feeding Scheme, Mrs Eriken Uzoamaka told reporters in Awka in a two day capacity building workshop organised by the Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice.
Mrs Uzoamaka said that only the federal authority could make replacement, regretting that primary schools pupils in Anambra State are no longer fed.
She could not disclose the causes or nature of the dead cooks, adding that representations have been made to Abuja so that pupils in Anambra State are not denied the opportunity of eating good meals at school.
