Governor of Delta State and Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, his Edo State counterpart, Chief Godwin Obaseki, business magnate, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, were among the dignitaries that attended the 10th year remembrance of Late Chief Jeremiah Ighodalo at Ewohimi, Edo State yesterday.

Okowa was represented at the ceremony by the Secretary to the Delta State Government Chief Patrick Ukah, and other top state government functionaries.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Governor Obaseki said that the Late Chief Ighodalo contributed to the development of Ewohimi, defunct Midwest, Bendel, and Edo states.

He called on the children to maintain the legacies their father left behind for the betterment of the society in general.

In a brief exhortation during the church service, Rev. Lawrence Ebodaghe advised that people should do things at the right and appropriate time for them to be appreciated.

He said that Ighodalo lived a good life worthy of emulation was the reason people had gathered in his remembrance, ten years after his demise.

One of the sons of the deceased and founder of Trinity House Church, Lagos, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, extolled the virtues of his late father, adding that the upbringing he gave them at childhood contributed to what they were in life.

He urged the congregants to live a life that was beneficial to people and strive to make heaven at the end of life on earth.

Former Governor of Cross River State, Chief Liyel Imoke, was among the dignitaries from different parts of the country who graced the ceremony.
