Presidency to Wike: You can’t impeach Fubara

The presidency yesterday warned Chief Nyesom Wike ,the Federal Capital Territory Minister to halt the impeachment plan by his cronies in the Rivers State House of Assembly.

A presidential source said impeaching Governor Siminalayi Fubara, an Ijaw could make the Ijaw youths embarks on vandalization of crude oil facilities.

Said the source:’ If you say you want to sack the first Ijaw man to be governor, are you not sending the Ijaw people back to the creeks? That will have attendant effects on the economy, and the President will not allow that to happen.

The President must see the danger of what Wike is doing, though I am aware that he has summoned him to a meeting in Dubai. You know the President is currently out of the country. Barring any last minute change, they are expected to meet abroad. Wike cannot impeach Fubara, the President will call him to order.’

The Pond News understands that Fubara hired a private jet yesterday to meet the president abroad.

At the source of disagreement is the governor crossing to APC without informing Wike.

Secondly, Fubara has not hidden his intention to contest election for a second term.

Wike has not even joined the APC as he continued to instigate crises in PDP.

As of today, Wike is the leader of Rainbow Coalition whose aim is to work for the re-election of Tinubu.
