The member representing Burutu federal constituency at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi has hailed High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo on the conferment of “Internal Security Meritorious Award” by the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ).by the NUJ national President Chief Chris Isiguzo.
In a press statement signed by Hon Julius Pondi said the award is well deserving, noting that Tompolo was a patriot.
He noted that it is a welcome development to Qsee that Tomopolo’s effort towards building lasting peace in the Niger Delta as well as the securing of national oil and gas assets are been acknowledged.
According to him, ” It’s heart warming that your valuable contribution to the prevailing peace in the Niger Delta and undying effort to secure the nation’s economic assets are been recognised and appreciated particularly by a strategic body like the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ)”
“We are conscious of your passion for Nigeria and we do know that this award will spur you to do more to put our great country on the part of sustainable development.”
“We pray God to give you robust health to live long life and may the love of God and his unfailing grace see you through as you make selfless services towards the overall well being of our people in the Niger Delta in particular and Nigeria in general.” He stated.
