The Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi Uku started 2025 yesterday with praise and worship.
The solemn assembly with the theme :Make a Joyful Noise into the Lord,’ saw the attendance of the rector Prof Emmanuel Achuenu, the deputy rector Dr (Mrs) Joy Anho, top management staff, workers and students.
The ceremony was held at the polytechnic event centre.
In a brief remarks, the rector reaffirmed his commitment and passion to take the polytechnic to enviable heights through strategic and innovative initiatives ,which according to him were already using positive results.
He also charged students and staff to always pray for the institution, adding that such prayers can enable him to materialize his plans of making the polytechnic to get global recognition and fame.
In a sermon ,Ven. Christian Okonkwor said that gratitude was a catalyst for progress and productivity.

He quoted Psalm 100:1 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all you Lands.’
The deputy rector delivered a vote of thanks.
