A PDP led government at the federal level would release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of proscribed Indigenous people of Biafra within one hundred days in office.
The vice presidential candidate of the PDP dropped the hint today in Asaba while addressing a gathering of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Youth Wing worldwide.
Okowa said that if the PDP wins Saturday presidential election, the party would start a process of dialogue that would lead to the release of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra.
Okowa argued that if Igbo elders could asked for the release of Kanu, then it was the appropriate thing to be done.
Okowa lamented the migration of the youths from the East to Delta State because of insecurity.
He maintained that insecurity in the nation was worse in the East because majority of them are traders.
The presidential hopeful said that his party had strategic engagement with the youths on how to solve the many problems of the country.
Okowa who is also the governor of Delta State disclosed that his party has a well thought plan to tackle insecurity.
He argued that PDP would fight joblessness, hunger and poverty by creating jobs for the people.
The party, according to Okowa , shall support youths and women to fend for themselves.
He also promised the Igbo youths devolution of power that could lead to the establishment of state police.
The politician explained that devolution of power could only take place with constitutional amendment, adding that his party was ready with a bill to that effect.
He therefore charged the Igbo youth to spread the recover Nigeria policy of PDP so that the party would win the presidential election.
The vice presidential candidate promised to represent and protect the interest of the Igbo nation, adding that he was an Igbo man.
Earlier, the leader of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Youth Wing Worldwide, Mazi Livinus Obasi Onu pledged the support of Igbo youths to work for the victory of Atiku Okowa presidential ticket.
He said that the economic and political survival of Igbos are best served under PDP government.
