The leadership of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stormed the headquarters of Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja.
The PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the vice presidential candidate Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and national chairman of the party Dr Iyorcha Ayu were leading the protest.
They were all dressed in black, a symbol of mourning in some parts of Nigeria.
The protest is about the results of February 25 presidential election that INEC said was won by the APC presidential candidate Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Already a certificate of return has been issued to the President elect Tinubu by INEC.
PDP said the protest was to tell the whole world that the election was stolen by APC in colloboration with INEC.
The Pond News understands that PDP is already in court to challenge the result of the presidential and national assembly elections.
The presidential election results released by INEC showed that Tinubu won with 8,805, 420 votes to beat Atiku Abubakar to second position.
Atiku got 6,984, 290 votes while the Labour Party presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi got 6,093,962.
Obi is also in court claiming that he won the election.
The Pond News understands that Tinubu winning has a national spread even though he lost his strong base Lagos State.
The President elect won in Ondo, Ekiti Ogun and Oyo state in the South West.
Tinubu won in Kwara, Jigawa, Zamfara, Borno, Benue, Niger and Rivers States
