The PDP presidential ticket of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa were in Borno today.
Both men and some key stakeholders paid a courtesy call on the Shehu of Borno,HRH Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba.
In their separate tweets, Atiku and Okowa commended the royal father for the warm reception.
In his verified Twitter account, Atiku spoke of the unique and diverse nature of Nigera.
He said that his visit to Maiduguri was another reminder of the awesomeness of Nigeria diversity.
Atiku tweeted thus:’Nigeria is a unique and diverse country. I am always humble in listening to all the remarkable voices of our country. My trip to Maiduguri today, during which I paid my courtesies to the Shehu of Borno, is yet another reminder of the awesomeness of our diversity.’
On his part, the vice presidential candidate, Okowa thanked the Shehu of Borno. for the warm reception.
Okowa tweeted thus :’We thank the Shehu of Borno, HRH Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba, for the warm reception that was accorded to our Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,myself, and all our party leaders that paid a courtesy visit to him at the palace earlier today in Maiduguri.’
