All the academic programmes of the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi Uku are fully accredited by NBTE.
Builder Prof Emmanuel Achuenu disclosed this today in Asaba during NUJ journalists ‘hangout’.
He also said because of this academic feat, the polytechnic is now first choice of admission to students, adding that the polytechnic finds it impossible to admit all candidates that applied for admission.
He further said that all ND and HND courses were so structured that products leave with theory and skills .
He particularly mentioned Science Laboratory Technology as a star department of the polytechnic , a product of internally generated revenue well utilized.
Still on his achievements since 2021, he said with IGR, the polytechnic was able to build 325 capacity sitting lecture hall powered by solar energy.
The rector maintained that one achievement dear to his heart was the peace enjoyed in the polytechnic environment.
He explained that a strategy to build peace was put in place by the management.
Achuenu said that peace in the campus was instrumental to the conducive learning and teaching environment.
He revealed that the Okowa administration was able to tar a stretch of road, hoping that the present government would construct more roads on campus.
In the relationship between the gown and town, the polytechnic under his watch had established two important centres -skill development centre and renewable energy centre.
The rector paid glowing tributes to all his precedessors, saying that his role was more of value addition and create a better polytechnic.
