In less than one month , the presidential election would fall and Nigerians would elect their new president who would steer the ship of Nigeria for four years . Though there are many candidates jostling for the office of the president however, three candidates have what it takes to win the presidential election on 25, February, 2023. The three prominent candidates are Atiku of PDP, Peter Obi of Labour Party and Bola Tinubu of APC aka Baba Emilokan. These three prominent candidates have seen the thin and thick of Nigeria politics. The trio have large followers all over the country and it would be difficult at this point in time to predict correctly who would win the 2023 presidential election. However, while Atiku and Tinubu belong to old order, Obi on the other represents the youths of the country yearning to take back the country from the hands of the recycled politicians which Atiku and Tinubu represent. It is true Atiku belongs to the old order his supporters however, are fairly civil in carrying out their campaigns unlike Tinubu supporters who are toxic in tongue and bellicose in carrying out their campaigns. Obi supporters do not thrive in vituperation of other contesters. Obi is decently carrying out his campaigns without unnecessarily insulting his opponents as Tinubu often does in campaign arena. Obi campaigns are issue-based. What the Batists are failing to realize in their campaigns is that their disinformation, braggadocios, lies are doing more harms to baba emilokan than good. Tinubu himself is not helping matters. Besides going out of point sometimes while campaigning to his supporters, he hubristically attacked president Buhari unnecessarily, accusing the president of sabotaging his efforts at winning the 2023 presidential election which he, Tinubu feels it is his turn to rule the country. He cited two examples; the change in colour of the naira and the current fuel scarcity, which he feels were targeted at his ambition. At this critical time Tinubu should be very careful of what he says about the president. The two peevish allegations he levelled against the president who is the leader of APC could cost him his ambition. It shows that the top echelon of APC are not with him. It also shows that the falcon no longer hearing the falconer and things seem to be falling apart in APC. So Tinubu is unsettled and no longer at ease.
