Onyeobi, a wonderful mentor, role model – Oborevwori
The Delta State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori today described Chief Patrick Onyeobi as a wonderful mentor and role model to Nigerians.
He expressed these views in a birthday congratulatory message to Onyeobi as he clocks ninety years.
Said the governor :’ Chief Onyeobi enduring imprints on the sands of time is a powerful symbol of Asaba traditional institution.
We honour you on this occasion of your 90th birthday for everything you have accomplished, from your modest beginnings to the pinnacle of your brilliant career as Head of Service and secretary to the now defunct Bendel State Government.’
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Oborevwori described Onyeobi, a former Secretary to the defunct Bendel State Government and Head of Service, as a model administrator and community leader with impeccable leadership qualities.
He praised the nonagenarian for his staunch adherence to Asaba Kingdom customs and his long-term contributions to the growth of the capital city.
According to Oborevwori, Onyeobi’s unwavering dedication to helping others and extraordinary life achievements, which distinguished him as a wonderful mentor and role model, will continue to motivate the next generation.
The governor lauded the contributions of Onyeobi.

“We honour your immense contributions to changing the course of our beloved State and Country. You have continued to apply your leadership skills throughout Asaba and beyond.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta, I heartily rejoice with an elder statesman and administrator par excellence, a perfect gentleman and community leader of immense repute, Chief Patrick Onyeobi, the Iyase of Asaba on his 90th birth anniversary.
“While I felicitate with you on this joyous occasion, please accept my best wishes and the deepest goodwill of my Government because you have served your State and community with great commitment and excellence.
”You should be proud of this legacy because I have no doubt that Asaba and Deltans will always hold you in high regard and draw from your plentiful and overflowing fountain of knowledge.”
