The presidential candidate of APC Senator Bola Tinubu and vice presidential candidate of PDP Senator Ifeanyi Okowa mourned the passage of Ambassador George Obiozor, president general of Ohaneze Ndigbo.
Both politicians said they were saddened by the death of a great Nigerian.
Okowa and Tinubu expressed their sadness today via their verified Twitter accounts.
Okowa said that the government and people of Delta state condoled with Obiozor family and Ndi Igbo.
Okowa tweeted thus:’On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I condole with the family, Ndi Igbo worldwide, and the entire nation on the passage of the renowned diplomat and Igbo leader, Professor George Obiozor ‘
On his part, the APC flag bearer, Tinubu said Obiozor was a distinguished diplomat who served Nigerians.
