The PDP vice presidential candidate Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed gratitude to all government officials, his wife and first responders who gave one form of assistance to flood victims in the state.
He also said the flood should be a wake up call on governments to take necessary actions.
Okowa expressed these views via his verified Twitter account today.
The Delta State governor also said he was ready to visit the flood victims at the various IDP camps.
Okowa tweeted :’The flooding that has submerged countless communities across nation is not only devastating but it is also a cause for concern that must serve as a necessary call to action.
As I prepare t visit the sites of the floods and the families that are stranded in our IDP camps, I appreciate my darling wife, Edith, and all our government officials and first responders who have been working tirelessly to make the lives of our survivors easier .’
