Okowa presents his last budget (N561billions)

The Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa today presented his last budget to the State House of Assembly.
Tagged ‘budget of seamless and stable transition ‘with the estimate of five hundred and sixty-one billion naira.
The recurrent expenditure is two hundred and thirty five billion Naira and capital expenditure stands at three hundred and twenty six billion Naira.
Fifty eight percent of the budget is for capital expenditure while recurrent expenditure stands at forty two percent.
Okowa said the budget is targeted at completing all on going projects.
The Pond news understands that the governor has about five months to implement the budget before passing it to the next administration.
It must also be noted that Speaker Sheriff Oborevweri may implement the remaining seven months if he happens to win next year governorship election.
In a brief remarks, the speaker promised to work on the speedy passage of the budget proposals with his colleagues.
