Vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Governor of Delta State Senator Ifeanyi Okowa today commiserated with Primate of All Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, on the passing of two bishops in the church.
The deceased are Archbishop of Lagos Province, Anglican Communion and Bishop of Lagos Diocese, Most Reverend Humphrey Olumakaiye and Bishop of Ndokwa Diocese, Rt. Rev’d David Obiosa.
Olumakaiye gave up the ghost at the age of 53 while Obiosa passed on October 25 at 59.
In a condolence message by the State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu in Asaba, Okowa said the death of the senior Church officials was devastating, adding that they passed on when their services were highly needed.
He also condoled with the immediate families of the deceased and parishioners of the two dioceses and urged them to take solace in the fact that Archbishop Olumakaiye and Bishop Obiosa lived a life of service to God and humanity.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I condole with his Lordship, Most Rev.
