The PDP vice presidential candidate and Delta State Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has been described as a unifier who is capable healing the present divisions in Nigeria.
This was the view canvassed by Hon Funkekeme Solomon while speaking to reporters in Asaba, the Delta State capital recently.
Funkekeme, the senior political adviser to Governor Okowa appealed to Deltans to support his present political ambition.
He argued that what was at stake was the collective interest of all Deltans.
The political adviser explained that Okowa was not accidental leader but prepared and secured leader who takes decisions for the interest of the society, adding that this was the first a Deltan is a vice presidential of a major political party.
Said :Funkekeme:’If Okowa is the vice president, a lot of attention will be paid to Delta State in the course of developing the country. The country has never been as divided as it is today. So you need a unifier to assist the president in reviving the country…. that Okowa is very calculative, dependable and a strategist who has the interest of serving the people’.
