The Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwàshi Uku stole the show at the 7th edition of the Science, Technology and Innovation Expo in Abuja which ended on 20th January, 2023.
The polytechnic exhibited the modern DSPG smart campus city.
The Smart Campus smart according to the Rector Prof Emmanuel Achuenu is to tackle the problem of power generation through renewable energy.
Achuenu also spoke of security architecture through smart cards usage.
Other innovations of the polytechnic displayed at the expo were solar powered melon shelling machine, solar power generator , industrial dual fuel oven, industrial gas cooker, yam pounding machine, ice block making machine and others.
The Minister of Science ,Technology and Innovation Dr Olorunnimbe Mamora at the stand of the polytechnic commended the Rector and staff for the inventions and innocent.
The minister described the polytechnic as one of the best in the country for its creativity and Innovations.
Said the minister :’I can’t wait to see this dream and vision becomes a reality.’
