Oborevwori wins another award

Just six days after being honored with the THISDAY/ARISE TV Man of the Year Award, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has added another prestigious accolade to his name.

The governor was announced as the recipient of the Delta Man of the Year 2024 Award by The NEHESMS/CAPOIN, a group dedicated to promoting people-oriented leadership and good governance.

The NEHESMS is the short form of Nehemiah while CAPOIN is Campaign for Public Office Integrity in Nigeria.

The official announcement was made during a press conference held in Asaba, the state capital today.

In both physical and online polls, the governor got 359 votes beating Senator Ned Nwoko to second position with 329 votes.

High Chief Government Ekpemuopolo aka Tompolo came third with 164 votes.

The opinion polls confirmed that residents of Delta North senatorial district were more ICT complaints with a strong presence on the social media.

This award which reflects the governor ability to resonate with ordinary citizens, understanding their needs, aspirations, and challenges, gives credence to his “Street Credibility”, mantra.
