Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is on the verge of becoming the next governor of Delta State shy nine local government councils.
The PDP candidate has so far won sixteen local government areas according to projected results.
The LGAs are Ika North East, Ika South, Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East, Aniocha South and Aniocha North.
Others are Oshimili South, Oshimili North, Isoko South, Isoko North and Warri North.
Others still are Bomadi, Patani, Okpe, ,Ukwuani and Ethiope East.
The victory of Oborevwori is coming against the backdrop of some PDP bigwig defecting to the APC.
Political pundits are saying that the PDP Governorship candidate election is a reaffirmation of Delta State as PDP state and the political strategy of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
