Mr Peter Obi spent the day in IDP camps in Benue State.
According to the verified Twitter account of Obi, those in the camps left their homes because of insecurity.
The presidential hopeful lamented the inability of government to protect the citizens, promising to change the situation if elected.
Obi tweeted today :’Spent my Christmas day visiting displaced Nigerians in IDP camps in Benue State. They were forced to abandon their homes due to the perversive insecurity. It is disconcerting that the government is failing in its responsibility to protect her citizens. This must change. ‘
