The Labour Party presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi has pledged to put an end to medical tourism in Nigeria.
Obi made this pledge today while visiting the Baze university hospital, Abuja owned by his running mate, Dr. Datti Baba Ahmed.
Obi made this statement via his verified Twitter account today.
The presidential hopeful described the Baze University as exemplary and reflective of a centre of excellence.
He promised that his administration would encourage entrepreneurs and investors to contribute to nation building.
Obi tweeted :’This morning, I had the privilege of visiting the Baze University hospital in Abuja and inspecting the facilities. Dr Datti Baba Ahmed was on hand to show me around. This institution is exemplary and reflective of a centre of excellence, and what domestic entrepreneurs and investors can contribute to nation building. With several more facilities like this, medical tourism for Nigerians will be a thing of the past. This is simply awesome.’
