The Labour Party presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi yesterday met national assembly candidates elected on the platform of the party in Anambra state.
He told the legislators elect that the dream of getting a new Nigeria was still on course despite the setback in the presidential election.
Obi charged them that the desire for service to the people and nation building should be their motto.
He stressed the urgent need for Labour Party candidates to build a better nation for all Nigerians.
He also charged those contesting in March 18 Governorship and House of Assembly elections to keep hope alive, adding that a new Nigeria was possible.
Obi shared these sentiments via his verified Twitter account today.
Obi also shared moments of joy with those that won election into the National Assembly.
Obi tweeted thus ,:’Yesterday, I shared great moments with all the candidates of our great party, LP, in Anambra state, both at the Federal and State level. I reminded them that at the centre of our campaign will be a strong desire for service to the people and a firm commitment to nation building.
We must build a better nation for ourselves and for the future generations. Once again, I congratulated our candidates who won various elective posts at the Federal level, and encouraged those contesting at the state level to give in their best.
I listened to their challenges and wished them well. They shall succeed. A New Nigeria is here.’
