The National Rescue Movement governorship candidate in Delta State, Chief America Emmanuel has promised Deltans new pension scheme.
The pension scheme according to the governorship candidate will make prompt payment of pension benefits possible.
Addressing party faithfuls and supporters in Ogwashi Uku, Emmanuel said the present contributory pension scheme was not serving the needs of pensioners.
The governorship candidate said the era of owning pensioners would be over if elected as the governor of Delta State.
He disclosed that a return to the old pension scheme with some adjustments will solve the problem.
In a related development, the National Rescue Movement governorship candidate said that he would revive the tourism sector by making the Ogwashi Uku animal park functional.
He promised to bring in exoctic animals into the Ogwashi Uku game park and Oleri tourism park as way of employment generation.
The former national heavy weight boxing champion also promised to take sports development in the state to the next level.
