The PDP Delta North senatorial candidate Hon Ned Nwoko has said that there was nothing wrong with government owing debts as long as such money is used for development.
He also maintained that he does not believe in the practise of government leaving money in the coffers for its successor.
Nwoko canvassed this view today in an interactive session with journalists in Asaba.
The international lawyer therefore took swipe on people criticizing government for operating deficit budgets.
The Senator in waiting said he would be a more effective senator if the PDP wins the presidential election.
He called on Deltans to vote PDP in all the elections.
On the Delta North senatorial race, Nwoko wished that Senator Peter Nwaoboshi were around so that he could defeat him square and fair.
He said he was against the idea of winning by default.
Nwoko maintained that he was a man of means and denied the allegation of using Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to climb the political ladder.
