The Labour Party presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi has promised that government can wipe out poverty in.Nigeria with enough political will.
He therefore called on Nigerians to join him in doing that by ending corruption and incompetence with their votes.
He expressed these views via his verified Twitter account today.
Obi said that if China could lift 750 million out of poverty in twenty years, India reduced poverty from 50 percent to 20 percent in fifteen years, Nigeria could do better with the right political leadership.
Obi tweeted thus:’If China lifted 750 million from poverty in about 20 years and if India reduced poverty from 50 percent to 20 percent in about 15 years, we could do even better.
We can wipe off multidimensional poverty in less than a decade. Let us end the corruption and incompetence with our votes’.
