The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ South South has expressed appreciation to the Esama of Benin, Sir (Chief) Dr. Gabriel Osawaru lgbinedion, for his Continued Support to nawojians in Edo state, and for the warm reception he showed members during a visit to him, after the recently concluded South South Zonal Conference

This is contained in a statement signed by the Zonal Vice Chairperson, NAWOJ South South, Comrade Stella Macaulay and the Zonal Secretary, Comrade Eunice Emeyazia.

The women journalists in the statement eulogised Chief Igbenedion’s contribution to various sectors of the nation’s economy, describing him as a titan of industries, a pioneer of pioneers, a compassionate and generous leader.

The NAWOJ South South leaders said the Esama of Benin’s unwavering dedication to philanthropy has provided hope, opportunities, and empowerment to the needy, including women and children, reiterating that such sterling qualities informed the decision to make him the Grand Patron of NAWOJ South South

NAWOJ South South urged other well meaning individuals and groups in the zone to continue to make positive impact in the lives of women, and reiterated the commitment of the Association to promoting the ideals of the society.
