Delta State monarchs have called on the federal government to overhaul the security structures to ensure 2023 peaceful election.
This was part of the four point communique issued by the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers after their monthly meeting in Asaba, the Delta State.
The monarchs expressed concern over insecurity in the nation particularly the Federal Capital Territory.
They lamented that Nigerians were living in fear as security of lives and property could no longer be guaranteed.
The communique which was read by the first vice chairman of the council,Pere of Akugbene ,Mien Like Kalanama VIII decried the recent cult related killing of three police men in Okpanam, Oshimili North LGA of Delta State.
The royal fathers urged the police to fish out those behind the killings and bring them to justice.
The monarchs also called on their citizens to be vigilant to avert any breakdown of law and order in their communities.
