The mayor of Earle, Arkansas is Jaylen Smith, happens to be the world youngest elected leader.
He is aged 18 years.
He defeated Nemi Matthews.
In a Facebook post, the mayor thanked people for having faith in him.
Smith wrote on his Facebook page :’Citizens of Earle Arkansas it is official. I am your newly elected mayor of Earle Arkansas..,…I would like to thank all my supporters for stepping up getting people to the polls. I am truly grateful for you all.’
