What could make a lover kill his friend because of phone, this is the question the police in Delta State are trying to answer.
Tragedy struck in Ozoro, Isoko North LGA recently when a man killed his live in lover because of handset.
According to a source, Mr Godspower Adigheti alledegly killed her lover and mother of his child, Miss Gift Oloku in a fight.
Adigheti demanded an answer from her about her whereabout and the phone, iPhone II PRO MAX mobile phone.
Not satisfied with the answer, the two live in lovers started fighting and in the process Adigheti attacked Gift Oloku with cutlass resulting in her death.
The suspect is under police custody.
Confirming the incident, the Delta State Police public relations officer, Bright Edafe said:’On 16/7/2022, the DPO Ozoro division received a distress call that one Godspower Adigheti 23;years of Oramudu quarters inflicted machete cuts on his girlfriend, one Gift Oloku 22 years’.
