Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithful in Delta State have been admonished to eschew bitterness and rancour as the 2023 general elections draw near.
The Secretary to the State Government Chief Patrick Ukah, gave the charge during a meeting of members of the party from Delta North Senatorial District at Ogwashi-Uku.
Ukah stated that party members should be assured that the administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa would continue to carry them along in the scheme of things.
He told them to be steadfast and not lose hope, saying that victory was certain for the party at the national and state elections coming up in February 2023.
In his address, the Chairman of Delta North PDP, Chief Moses Iduh, said that members of the party had a lot to campaign with.
He noted that the achievements of the governor in the various sectors of the economy had put the party in good stead over other parties in the state.
Others who spoke, including the Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Chief Fidelis Tilije, Hon. Joan Onyeamachi and Hon. Ifeanyi Ebiogbe, called on party members to ensure that they go to their units to mobilize and sensitize the masses on the need to vote for PDP.
They stated that the 2023 elections would be determined from the grassroots and so party members should go and work and deliver the party.
The meeting was attended by political leaders, members of the State Executive Council, local government council chairmen and other political appointees from Delta North Senatorial District.
