Labour Party to reduce cost of governance
The Labour Party presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi has promised Nigerians that his administration shall reduce the cost of governance and block all leakages
Such funds, according to him, shall be channeled to enhance the living standards of Nigerians.
Obi gave this policy direction today via his verified Twitter account.
Hc pledged to run a government based on transparency and accountability so as to achieve zero corruption.
He lamented that the burden of corruption are borne by the citizens who are denied high standards of living.
Obi regretted that the wealth of the nation were mismanaged by successive governments , promising to change the political and economic narratives.
The presidential candidate tweeted thus:’We will have zero tolerance for corruption, block leakages and cut the cost of governance. Our total commitment to transparency and accountability in government business is the only credible way to achieve limited to zero corruption.
The burden of endemic corruption is borne by the citizens, they are denied the high living standards which the wealth of their country should have given them through the provision of public infrastructures and services.’
